Tooth-colored Fillings/Bonding
Fillings are the most common method of restoration after a tooth has been affected by decay. In preparation for a filling, Dr. Etheredge will remove all decay and clean the affected area. The affected area will then be filled with a composite resin that will match the color of your teeth and harden, preventing bacteria from entering and causing further decay.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are used by dentists to cover smaller defects, such as cracks, chips, misalignments, and discolorations. These thin sheets of porcelain are made to look like natural teeth.
Porcelain Crowns
All-Porcelain Crowns are known for their durability, as well as their natural look, taking on the appearance of genuine teeth. Porcelain Crowns used in the restoration of both the upper and lower front teeth.
Benefits include being easy to make and longevity, often lasting the recipients lifetime.
Bridges
Bridges are fixed dental replacements, either permanently affixed to existing teeth, or used as a removable prosthetic device (dentures). Bridges offer great stability and resemble and feel like real teeth.
Bridges are most often used to fill a section of the mouth where teeth are missing, by connecting to fixed restorations on adjacent teeth.
Full Mouth Rehabilitation / Reconstruction
When the majority or all of your teeth need to be restored in the upper and lower jaw, we refer to the process as full mouth rehabilitation or restoration. This usually results from cases where a patient’s teeth have been excessively damaged from an accident, decay or grinding. Sometimes very old restorations will also need to be replaced. The process of full rehabilitation can be an involved one, utilizing the talents of many dental specialists. Inlays & Onlays
Sometimes you’ll have a situation where a tooth has been weakened too much for a simple filling, and yet too little for a crown. In this situation, a dentist may recommend an inlay or onlay. Inlays and onlays provide a natural look and help restore function to the tooth.
